KUBO takes a spin with new coding concepts

Digital literacy is a key to the future, and KUBO Robotics is helping you lead the charge to understand it. Coding can be an overwhelming, confusing tech language to learn and can sometimes be even harder to teach. But with help from KUBO, kids can start learning how to code at the early age of five, and educators have resources and guidance at the ready to help facilitate the experience.

KUBO has been empowering students in a hands-on and screen-free way, teaching them how to think rather than what to think. To develop even more complex coding skills and an abstract way of thinking, KUBO has created a new set of TagTiles® called Coding++.

National Techies Day: Definitely a reason to celebrate

Yes . . . we’re celebrating another holiday. This one might be a little obscure, but it’s worth recognizing. October 3 is National Techies Day. Per Merriam-Webster, a “techie is a person who is very knowledgeable or enthusiastic about technology and especially high technology.” One would naturally assume that National Techies Day is all about those who love smartphones, smart watches, smart homes, and anything else deemed smart. And that’s true to some degree, but there’s also another aspect of it that is even cooler than the latest tech – promoting technology-based careers to today’s learners and future workforce.

Robotics: Urban Search & Rescue strengthens participants’ career choices

Flavio Tello graduated from Texas State Technical College in Harlingen last spring where he studied Mechatronics, which includes electrical and mechanical engineering as well as programming. He now works for Koenig & Bauer and will soon be visiting their home base in Germany to learn how to troubleshoot and repair printing presses located across the United States.
